Left Corpus Christi: October 29, 1861 Left Nueces with R. Spence on the 20th of January for Ventana. Have J. Wade�s Black Horse ___?___ San Patricio Road. Left Ventana on the 22nd with 152 Ewes 25 Ewe Lambs & 22 Buck Lambs, 1 Buck, and 16 Goats and 1 [1]Wether. Arrived at Scott�s just at Sundown and left early next morning, 23rd. Went in search of J. Wade�s Horse and found him about a mile from this place. I saw him on Monday. Arrived at Spence�s about 10 o�clock, when we separated his sheep. After I left and arrived at the Motts.
