A Sudden Death
Mr. John (or “Bud,†as he was best known) Albertson, a native of this city, aged 40 years, was found dead in his bed at an early hour Monday morning. He retired as usual Sunday night apparently in the best of health, his father sleeping in the same room with him and it was only when his niece told him to get up that is was discovered that the Death Angel had visited him. He evidently died without a struggle, for his aged father says he heard no sound. Justice Dunn held an inquest and rendered a verdict of death from heart failure. The funeral took place Tuesday morning and his remains were followed to the grave by a large circle of friends and sorrowing relatives. “Bud†was a good, quiet and unassuming person, whose familiar face will be missed by many friends. He leaves, besides his aged father, three sisters, Mrs. A. E. Weeks, Mrs. Jas. E. Ellis, of this city, and Mrs. R. S. Taylor, of Galveston, and a brother, Andy Albertson of G______. The Caller sympathizes with his family in their bereavement.
