    Mrs. Biggio, Kin of Pioneer Family, Dies

    Mrs. Hettie M. Biggio, 69, of 912 Chaparral, daughter of a pioneer Corpus Christi family died at the home of her son, R. A. Corssley, 4214 Naples, at 1:45 p.m. yesterday. 

    She was a lifelong resident of the city and the daughter of Capt. and Mrs. William Anderson, pioneer residents.

    Mrs. Biggio’s great-grandparents, Annie and John Woesner, German immigrants, settled here and were the night white family in the city.  Her grandfather Anderson operated a salt mill at the present site of the Nueces hotel.

    She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy and several Catholic study groups.

    Survivors include her son, one daughter, Mrs. Ben c. Jones, and four grandchildren.

    A rosary will be conducted at the Dunne Funeral Service chapel at 8 p.m. today.  Mass will be said at corpus Christi Cathedral at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow.  Burial will follows in Old Bayview Cemetery.

    Funeral services for Mrs. Hettie M. Biggio, 69, of 912 Chaparral, will be held at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow at Corpus Christi Cathedral. Burial will be in Old Bayview Cemetery.  Rosary will be said at Dunne Chapel at 8 p.m. today.

    Daughter of a pioneer Corpus Christi family, Mrs. Biggio died at the home of her son, R. A. Crossley, 4214 Naples, at 1:45 p.m. yesterday. She was a lifelong resident of the city.  Her great-grandparents, who were German immigrants, were the ninth with family in the city.  Her grandfather operated a salt mill at the present site of the Nueces Hotel.

    She was a member of the united Daughters of the confederacy and several Catholic study groups.

    Survivors, besides her son, are a daughter, Mrs. Ben C. Jones and four grandchildren.
