2.  Obituary

Funeral services for Miss Johnnie Curr, who died at her home at 912 Mesquite street early Monday Morning will be held at 2:30 o’clock this afternoon at the David T. Peel funeral chapel with the Rev. E. C. Calhoun of the South Bluff Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in the Old Bayview cemetery under the direction of David T. Peel. Miss Curr, who was widely known here, was for 15 or more years in the alteration department of Liechtenstein’s department store. Active pallbearers will include Mark Gregory, W. L. Dickey, Clyde Simpson, O.J. Koepke, J. W. Pittman and R.H. Meacham. Honorary pallbearers are pioneer residents of the city and friends of the family. Miss Curr is survived by one sister, Mrs. M. J. Lege of Corpus Christi, three nieces, Mrs. P. D. Noessel of Houston, Mrs. E. A. Fletcher of New Smyrna, Fla., and Mrs. B.F. Bartlett of Corpus Christi. She also is survived by three nephews.
