Died in Corpus Christi, December 1, 1845, of Inflammation of the Bowels, James T. Edgar, for a long time a citizen of Houston.

Mr. Edgar was one of the late Santa Fe prisoners, and had been engaged in many of the short Indian conflicts prior to that time.  He was interred with the honors of war by the Mier and Santa Fe prisoners, aided by the talented band of music attached to the 3rd Reg’t U. S. Service, which had been most generously sent by Col. Hitchcock for the occasion.
