Obituary

 

Services To Be Held Today for Mrs. M E. Gray

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon at the David Peel chapel for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Gray, 73, who died at her home, 1006 Laredo at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.  The Rev. K. C. Minter will officiate.  Interment will be in the old Bayview cemetery.

Mrs. Gray was born in New Bedford, South Africa.  She came to American as a girl and had made her residence here for thirty-five years.  She died after an illness of long duration.

She is survived by two sons, Joe Gray of San Antonio, and W. S. Gray of this city, residing at 301 King Street.

Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Gray

Funeral services were held at 3:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. May Elizabeth Gray 78 years and 11 months old, who died at her home at 1006 Laredo street at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.

The services were held at the David Peel mortuary on Water street and were conducted by Rev. K C. Minter.  Pallbearers included A. R. Yeargen, J. A. Robertson, L. S. Jame, J.A. Turner, G. M. Jones and Bernie Miller.  Interment was in the old Bay View cemetery under the direction of David Peel.

Mrs. Gray is survived by two sons, W. S. Gray of Corpus Christi and J. L. Gray of San Antonio.  She was born in Grehamtown, South Africa, on Dec. 25 1848.  She came to Texas in 1878, and to Corpus Christi in November 1892.  She had been in ill health about one year before her death.
