The reference to an unknown Heabrie is found in the survey of Old Bayview Cemetery compiled by Fred M. Hay (ed. Mary Morrow in 1965, Sec. 3, p.p. 1-5). This appears to be an incorrect spelling of a name or a misinterpretation of information related to the cemetery. The name “Heabrie†is not found in any local records. Moreover, if you “Google†the word “Heabrie†only TWO references are found on the whole internet and both are the two listed on the website of Old Bayview Cemetery. It is highly unlikely that a real name would have only these two references in the whole internet world. This may be an attempt to phonetically spell another name such as “Averyâ€. In Spanish, for instance, the “H†would be an aspirant, and the letters “V†and “B†are similar in sound. At present no further information can be found to explain the inclusion of this name in the list of those buried in Old Bayview Cemetery.
