This young child is the daughter of Ellen Adams Killmer and Edward Kilimer. She had at least one older sister Callie, a younger brother Robert, and a baby sister who was born in 1893 only 3 months prior to the death of their mother Ellen at the family's Penitas ranch. Family records indicate there was also another sibling that died young and was buried in Old Bayview Cemetery. However, there is no marker indicating the name of this child. Elizabeth's mother Ellen was the daughter of Robert and Sarah Anderson Adams who were natives of England who came to the Corpus Christi area in response to H. L. Kinney advertisements for land. Ellen's sister was Elizabeth (Mrs. Tom Wright) who lived on a ranch near Alfred, Texas. Ellen married Ed Killmer at that ranch, and they initially lived at Casa Blanca before buying a ranch on Barbon Creek near Lagarto. Little Elizabeth's father, Ed Kilimer, was the son of Jonas and Caroline Chute Kilimer. He was born in San Antonio and was young when his parents moved to Corpus Christi. He initially raised sheep on his ranch and later cattle. Mr. Killmer was active as a civic leader and because of his political leanings in the 1890s he saw to the placement of burial markers for the federal veterans that were early burials in Old Bayview and other local cemeteries. Little Elizabeth Racine Kilimer is buried in Old Bayview Cemetery along with her parents and paternal grandparents.
