Mrs. Mary Jane Legge Stricken at 79
Mrs. Mary Jane Legge, 79, native of Corpus Christi died in the home in which she has lived for the past 72 years, 911 Mesquite Street, at 6:30 o’clock yesterday afternoon.
She was the oldest living member of the first Methodist Church.  Funeral Arrangements were pending the arrival of relatives, David T Peel  in charge.  She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ben Bartlett of Corpus Christi,  Mrs. Perry Noessel, of Houston, and Mrs. Eddie Fletcher of St. Petersburg, Fla.; two sons Herman C. Legge of Corpus Christi and John M. Legge of San Antonio; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Jane Lege, 79, native of Corpus Christi, who died in the home in which he had lived for the past 72 years, 911 Mesquite Street, Monday afternoon, will be held at 3 o’clock this afternoon at David t. Peel funeral Home Chapel.  The Rev. W. H. Wallace, pastor of the First Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Old Bayview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Walter F. Timon, R. R. Hall, Joe Mireur, Willie Young, Frank Harrison, Clyde Simpson and W. A. Shanor. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of stewards of he First Methodist church, friends and neighbors.  She is survived by three daughters, two sons, 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
