Obituary
Lucas –Died, at his home in San Diego, Wednesday morning, March 30, 1892, Henry Lucas, in the 54 year of his age.
Mr. Lucas was a native of Mittlesomern, Germany, where he was born August 16, 1829. At an early age he emigrated to the United States, and for something more than twenty years was a resident of Corpus Christi. About four years ago he moved to San Diego, where he had charge of the Sidbury lumber yards at that place, a position he held up to the time of his death. He was an honorable, upright and industrious citizen and leaves a wife and two children, besides a large circle of friends to mourn his loss. The remains were brought to Corpus Christi Wednesday night and were laid to rest in the city cemetery, the funeral taking place Thursday at 10 o’clock form the residence of Mrs. Petzel.

Death of Henry Lucas
San Diego, Tex., March 30—At half past 6 o’clock this morning, Mr. Henry A. Lucas, manager of the E. D. Sidbury lumber yard at this place, died at his home, surrounded by a loving wife, and affectionate son and daughter, and numerous friends, after a long continued illness of several months. The remains will be taken to Corpus Christi this evening for interment. Mr. Lucas will be missed by many. He was a good and true friend, a kind and loving husband and father, and beloved by all that knew him. Peace to his ashes.
