AT REST
After much suffering, LUCY GRACE MALTBY, pased away peacefully at the home of her mother on Water Street, in this city, Tuesday night, Aug. 2, 1904, at 12 o'clock, of nervous prostration, aged 26. The young lady was born in Corpus Christi, where she had spent most of her life. It was hoped some months ago, when she was sent to a private hospital in the interior, that she might find relief, but alas! It was in vain. The funeral took place Wednesday afternoon, the services conducted by Rev. A. J. Holworthy, the remains being laid by the side of those of her father on the hillside in the Old Bay view cemetery.

Miss Lucy Maltby died at her home here last Tuesday night from the exhaustion caused by paroxysms induced by eating castor beans from a plant in the yard. The young woman, her age was 26, was singularly attractive in person but she has been a sufferer for a long time and her passing from this life is a happy release from continual anguish. A kind friend some time ago provided a place for her in a private sanitarium for several months but the treatment seemed to be of no lasting benefit. Arrangements had been perfected recently to have her cared for in one of the State asylums and the papers admitting her were received here the day she died. It is a sad little story and the bereaved relatives have much warm sympathy in the sad time of mourning. Rev. Mr. Holworthy conducted the funeral services on Wednesday
