Death
John L. McElroy, 65, auditor of the S.A. and A.P. railroad here for a number of years, died at his home, 1289 Chaparral street, early Saturday morning.
McElroy, who was retired, was a past exalted ruler of B.P.O.E. lodge No. 216 at San Antonio.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick’s cathedral at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Father McKeon officiating and burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery* under the direction of Maxwell P. Dunne. *Headstone is in Old Bayview.
McElroy is survived by his wife, the former Miss Kate McKinzie; one sister, Mrs. John C. Mangham of San Antonio and one brother, William McElroy of Long Beach, Calif.
The family has requested no flowers be sent for the funeral services.
