Obituary
Death of “Our Little Lady.â€
Last Sunday morning many of our citizens learned with surprise of the sudden death of Miss Josephine B. McKenzie who died about 11:15 Saturday night. Although in impaired health for some time past, her condition became critical only a few hours before her death, as during the day she went about the house as usual. Miss McKenzie was born in Corpus Christi a little over 33 years ago and was at the time of her death the smallest lady in this city-height about 3 feet 4 inches and of slender, erect stature. When about five years of age she received a bad fall, which apparently stunted her growth the remainder of her days. Besides her mother, Mrs. K. McKenzie, she leaves three sisters, Misses Jessie, Kate, and Edna McKenzie, all of this city. The funeral took place at 4:30 Sunday afternoon from the family residence, interment in the old Bay View cemetery. This poor little one- child of misfortune has gone to her home in heaven.
