S. Newman

Sam Newman, (col.) died suddenly of heart disease in this city at the Mrs. John Woessner's place on last Monday afternoon. Newman has been cooking for the Woessner family for the past nine years, off and on, and was a faithful servant. He died at his post of duty having dropped dead it is said while engaged in picking a turkey.
