DEATH OF MRS. RHEU*

Well Known Resident of Corpus Christi Expired Here.

Mrs. M. A. Rheu, mother of Mrs. F. S. Martin and Mrs. Arthur Dooley of Beaumont, died at midnight at the home of Dr. and Mrs. F. S. Martin, 875 Fourth street.  Mrs. Rheu was 67 years of age and a life-long resident of Corpus Christi, coming to Beaumont about two months ago to visit her children here.

Mrs. Rheu had not been well since the death of her son, George Rheu, who was killed in a train wreck during the Orozco revolution in Mexico _______ ago. She suffered heart trouble and the shock of her son's tragic death greatly impaired her health.  About four weeks ago she became so ill she was forced to remain in bed, death ensuing last night.

The body will be shipped today by Pipkin & Brulin to Corpus Christi and will be accompanied by Mrs. Martin, Mrs. Dooley and another daughter, Mrs. C. H. Woessner of Corpus Christi, who came to Beaumont when apprised of her mother S condition.

In addition to these, Mrs. Rheu is survived by another daughter, Mrs. D. F. Moss of San Diego, Cal., and by one son, J. W. Rheu of Guana Jauto, Mex.  She is also survived by several grandchildren, among these being Charles and George Beaty and J. R. Martin, the latter the infant son of Dr. and Mrs. Martin.
