DIED STAPLES – At Collins, Nueces county, February 10, 1886, James Bryden, infant son of

W. O. and Maggie C. Staples, aged 1 month and 19 days. Mrs. Staples brought her child to this city in the early part of the week to have a physician examine the little one, which was suffering it is said, from the effects of a bit from an insect.  The lady was told that there was nothing serious, and the next day she left with the child for Collins, but the little sufferer only lived a short time after reaching home.  The remains were brought to this city Thursday evening for interment.  The funeral took place Friday at 10 o'clock a.m.  The afflicted family have the sympathies of the many friends.
