Obituary

Died, in this city, September 19, 1899, at 7:40 p.m., MARY ELLA, wife of Mr. August Uehlinger, aged 32 years, a native of Corpus Christi.

The death of Mrs. August Uehlinger was indeed, very sad.  Up to about three months ago she was about and hearty, no one thinking of he death.  It was then she became ill and not very long afterward had to go to bed where she remained for nine weeks --- up to the time of her death, suffering great pain most of the time.  A consultation of doctors was had and everything done to save her life, but it was of no avail.  Mrs. Uehlinger leaves besides her bereaved husband, four boys, viz:  August aged 9 years, Raymond aged 6 years, Ernest aged 4 years and Cecil aged 2 years.  She also leaves three brothers and two sisters viz:  H. L., G. A. and Theo. Dreyer and Mrs. W. S. McGregor and Mrs. Wm. Uehlinger.  Her funeral, which took place Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock and which was largely attended, proceeded from the house to the Catholic church, thence to the old Bay View cemetery, the remains being interred by the side of her parents.  The sorrow stricken husband and relatives have the sympathy of a host of friends in their hour of affliction.
