Obituary
Mrs. Maria Wilmot, aged 70 years, and one of the earliest residents of the city, died late Saturday afternoon at her home 715 Carancahua St. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from the Catholic church with interment in Old Bay View cemetery. Her son Louis Wilmot, whose home is in Mattawata, Mexico, and who was notified of his mother's illness, arrived in the city about an hour after her death. Mrs. Wilmot was the widow of the late George Wilmot, their marriage having taken place here many years ago. Surviving her are four sons, Messrs. Sam, John, and George Wilmot of this city and Louis Wilmot of Mexico, and two daughters, Mrs. Willie Woessner, of Corpus Christi and Mrs. Wolff Karp (sic) of Mexico City.
