This listing of a "Martin Woessner" who was a Confederate Vet is actually a duplicate listing of J. M. Woessner, Junior.  This "John Martin Woessner" (1845-1878) is the "Martin" Woessner referred to in notations as a Confederate Vet.  There is confusion because there were 3 generations of "Martin" Woessners.  J. M. Woessner, Sr. (1813-1854) is also a "Martin" Woessner, but he died prior to the Civil War.  J. M. Woessner, Jr. (1845-1878) also had a son named J. Martin Woessner (who was usually referred to in newspaper articles as "Martin Woessner").  However, the youngest of these Martin Woessners was born in 1869 so (like his grandfather) he could not have been in the Civil War.  He did have his own brush with violence however.  For more information on Martin Woessner who was a Confederate veteran and on his son, please see the website on J. M. Woessner, Jr.
