Obituary

Our Darling Baby

It is sad we know when our little ones are called away and we have to part with them forever on this earth, but let us find consolation in the thought that they are free from this world of pain and sorrow and are safe in that Heaven, which is promised the little innocent ones-not us, unless we become as one of t hem.  Therefore, let us not be sorrowful.

Smythe Woessner, infant son of Walter and Ella Woessner, was born in Corpus Christi, July 8, 1900.  A little over a month ago the family was in Houston on a visit to relatives.  They came home and soon the child was taken sick with a fever, and, not withstanding the best attention, never recovered, its suffering ending Thursday morning at 8 o'clock, the funeral taking place last evening at half-past six, Rev. A. J. Holworthy conducting the service at the house and the grave.  The sorely afflicted family have the hearty sympathy of this entire community over the loss of Baby Smythe.
